BPC-150 is the product designation Free Muscle uses for its own research peptide in the body-protection-compound family. It is sold as a variant of BPC-157, the fifteen-amino-acid gastric pentadecapeptide described in the scientific literature, but it is not that literature peptide and we do not attribute BPC-157 research to it. This page explains plainly what BPC-150 is and is not, sets out what the published research on the related literature peptide does and does not show, and lists every BPC-150 product we stock with its pack size, form and batch testing.
What is BPC-150?
BPC-150 is a Free Muscle-brand name. It belongs to the same broad family as BPC-157, in that both are marketed as body protection compounds, but the designation is ours and it should not be confused with the literature peptide. There is no published research on a compound called BPC-150: no receptor studies, no animal models and no human trials. Any claim you see elsewhere that transfers BPC-157 results to BPC-150 is not supported by the data, and we do not make it.
What can be said with confidence is what BPC-150 is not. It is not a licensed medicine anywhere, it is not an authorised food supplement, and it has not been evaluated by the MHRA, EMA or FDA. It is supplied in capsule form for laboratory research by adults aged 18 and over. Because the World Anti-Doping Agency prohibits non-approved substances as a class (S0), it should be treated as prohibited in sport.
What the published research reports
The research below concerns BPC-157, the literature peptide, and is included only so that readers understand the state of evidence for the family. None of it was carried out on BPC-150. A 2003 rat study reported accelerated healing of a transected Achilles tendon compared with saline controls (Staresinic 2003). A 2011 study in rat tendon explants reported increased fibroblast outgrowth and migration in vitro (Chang 2011). A 2016 review by the originating Zagreb group summarised animal work across gut, brain and vascular models (Sikiric 2016). The shared limitation is that these are animal and cell studies, largely from one research network, with no completed controlled human trial of BPC-157 and no study of BPC-150 at all. Nothing here is a claim about any product on this page.

How to compare them
The usual method applies: strength per capsule multiplied by capsules per pack gives total milligrams, and price divided by that figure gives cost per milligram. When comparing BPC-150 with BPC-157 listings, remember that they are different products and that the per-capsule figures are stated on very different scales, so a like-for-like cost comparison is not meaningful. What can be compared is documentation: whether an independent batch certificate exists for the exact batch on sale.
Batch testing and certificates of analysis
A certificate of analysis (COA) is a laboratory report tied to one manufactured batch. It records the identity of the compound tested (usually by HPLC or LC-MS against a reference standard) and the purity found, and it carries the batch number, the test date and the name of the laboratory that ran the assay. Every Free Muscle-brand batch is assayed by Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory, and we will send the certificate for the batch you hold if you email us with the batch number from the label. For products from the other brands we stock (iMuscle, Yakka Strength, Thoroughbred Labs and BioLab), none of which sells BPC-150, a COA is shown only where the manufacturer has supplied one for the specific batch we hold, and we leave the field blank rather than imply a test that does not exist.
A generic PDF with no batch number, no date or no named laboratory is not a batch certificate, whatever it is called. Match the batch number on the certificate to the number on your pack before relying on it. Our lab tests page explains what to look for.
Legal status in the UK
BPC-150 is not a licensed medicine and has no MHRA marketing authorisation. It is not an authorised food supplement and may not be sold for human consumption. It is supplied for laboratory research to adults aged 18 and over. It is not a controlled drug. Under the WADA Prohibited List, substances with no current approval by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use fall under class S0 and are prohibited at all times, so tested athletes should treat BPC-150 as prohibited. Storage and handling
Keep the container sealed, in a cool, dry place away from direct light, and return it there each time the container has been opened. Do not decant into unlabelled containers. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Handle in line with ordinary laboratory good practice, with gloves and a clean work surface, and dispose of unwanted material through an appropriate waste route rather than down the sink.

No. BPC-157 is the fifteen-amino-acid gastric pentadecapeptide studied in the published literature. BPC-150 is Free Muscle's own designation for a product sold as a variant of it, not the literature peptide itself. There is no published research on anything called BPC-150, and results from BPC-157 studies should not be read as applying to it.
Is BPC-150 legal in the UK?
Yes, in the sense that it is not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act, but it has no marketing authorisation from the MHRA and is not an authorised food supplement, which means it may not be sold or marketed for human consumption. Free Muscle supplies it strictly as a research material to adults aged 18 and over. As a non-approved substance it falls under WADA class S0 and is prohibited in sport.
Is BPC-150 a peptide or a SARM?
BPC-150 is sold as a peptide product, not a SARM. The distinction is chemical: a SARM is a small synthetic molecule built to bind the androgen receptor, whereas a peptide is a chain of amino acids with no androgen receptor activity. They appear together in this shop because they attract the same buyers, not because they are related.
Has BPC-150 been tested in humans?
No. There are no human studies, animal studies or cell studies on a compound called BPC-150. Even the related literature peptide, BPC-157, has no completed controlled human trial. We state this plainly so that no one buys BPC-150 believing it carries an evidence base it does not have.
How is BPC-150 batch-tested?
Every Free Muscle-brand batch, including BPC-150, is assayed by Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory. The certificate of analysis for your batch is available by email on request. Quote the batch number printed on the label and we will send the matching certificate.
What is in the Recovery Stack?
The Recovery Stack is a Free Muscle bundle containing BPC-150 capsules, TB-500 capsules and the Free Muscle PCT blend as three separate products, each with its own batch certificate. It is a packaging convenience for researchers buying all three. It is not a suggestion that anything should be combined, and no protocol is implied.
Which BPC-150 strength should I choose?
That is not something we advise on. BPC-150 is supplied for laboratory research, and neither this page nor our staff will suggest what a researcher should buy or how it should be applied. The only BPC-150 listing is the Free Muscle 60-capsule pack with the labelled strength stated on its product page, so there is no choice of strength to make here in any case.
