PCT blends, also listed as post-cycle therapy blends, post-cycle support or PCT capsules, are multi-ingredient products sold under a product name rather than the name of a single established compound. This page lists every PCT blend stocked at Free Muscle, compared on stated ingredients, capsules per pack and whether the batch has been assayed by an independent laboratory. We do not give cycle, protocol or post-cycle advice of any kind. These products are supplied for laboratory research to adults only.
What is a PCT blend?
Post-cycle therapy is a term from bodybuilding forums rather than from clinical medicine. It refers to the notion, discussed on those forums, of products used after a course of hormonally suppressive compounds. A PCT blend is a capsule or tablet that combines several ingredients under one label aimed at that market. Because there is no single molecule called PCT, there is no pharmacology of PCT, no receptor for it, no development history and no trial data on any blend as a product. Each blend is only the sum of what is in the capsule, which is a question for the label and the batch certificate.
Across the market, products sold under the PCT label draw from a few ingredient categories. Some contain prescription-class molecules such as selective oestrogen receptor modulators or aromatase inhibitors. Some contain botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals of the kind found in products marketed as testosterone boosters. Some contain both. Which of these a specific product contains, and in what quantity, is stated on its label and confirmed only by the certificate of analysis for that batch. For our own blend, what the capsules contain is set out on the label and confirmed by the batch certificate, and we make no claim about what it does.
No PCT blend is a licensed medicine in the UK or EU. Where a blend contains a SERM or an aromatase inhibitor, that ingredient is a prescription-only medicine when sold as such, and the blend is not authorised as a food supplement either. Suppressed hormone production is a medical condition that is diagnosed with blood tests and managed by a clinician.
What the published research reports
There are no clinical trials on any PCT blend as a product. The closest published evidence looks at the ingredients such blends draw from, at the drugs used as post-cycle therapy, and at what products sold under the name actually contain.
- Analysis of online testosterone-boosting supplements (2019). Researchers traced the 19 unique ingredients of the five best-selling testosterone-boosting supplements on a major online retailer through 191 published studies. Of the 37 human studies, about 30 per cent reported an increase in testosterone and about 46 per cent reported no effect. Once suspicious customer reviews were filtered out, reported benefits fell sharply. Balasubramanian A, et al. Testosterone Imposters: An Analysis of Popular Online Testosterone Boosting Supplements. J Sex Med. 2019;16(2):203-212. PMID: 30770069.
- Composition and claims of 50 testosterone-boosting products (2020). A separate group examined 50 such products. Ninety per cent claimed to boost testosterone, but only about a quarter of the ingredients had any supporting data, and about 10 per cent of components had published evidence of a potentially negative effect on testosterone. Several products exceeded the tolerable upper intake for certain vitamins and minerals. Clemesha CG, et al. 'Testosterone Boosting' Supplements Composition and Claims Are not Supported by the Academic Literature. World J Mens Health. 2020;38(1):115-122. PMID: 31385468.
- Narrative review of post-cycle therapy (2026). A review of the drugs most often used under this name, mainly SERMs, aromatase inhibitors and human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG), found the evidence limited and mostly observational, noted that hormone production recovers without treatment in most men within months of stopping androgens, and reported that, from an academic standpoint, post-cycle therapy is generally not recommended given its uncertain benefits and potential risks. Smit DL, et al. Post-cycle therapy after androgen abuse: a narrative review of mechanisms, evidence, and clinical perspectives. Endocr Connect. 2026;15(9):e260319. PMID: 42644333.
- Seized post-cycle therapy products (2025). Of 63 samples seized from the illegal market, tested by Poland's official medicines control laboratory between 2020 and 2024 and labelled as drugs used in post-cycle therapy, 34.9 per cent lacked the declared active ingredient, 20.6 per cent contained no active pharmaceutical ingredient at all and 14.3 per cent contained a different, undeclared one. Blazewicz A, et al. Illegal and falsified medicines self-administrated in not approved post-cycle therapy after the cessation of anabolic-androgenic steroids - qualitative analysis. Front Chem. 2025;13:1536858. PMID: 40177353.
- Liver injury case reports (2021). Two young men developed cholestatic liver injury, with jaundice and fatigue, after a few weeks of the SARMs ligandrol and/or ostarine followed by substances taken as post-cycle therapy. Both recovered after about three months, and the authors concluded that the SARMs, the post-cycle substances or both may cause such injury. Koller T, et al. Liver injury associated with the use of selective androgen receptor modulators and post-cycle therapy: Two case reports and literature review. World J Clin Cases. 2021;9(16):4062-4071. PMID: 34141767.
The supplement analyses and the seized-sample study point the same way: a product name and a claim on a label are not evidence of what a blend contains or does. Where a blend contains a prescription-class molecule such as a SERM, the trial data for that molecule exists only in medically monitored patients, and is discussed on the relevant compound page, for example enclomiphene. None of the above is a claim about any product on this page.
Brands of PCT blend we stock
- Free Muscle PCT, Post Cycle Therapy, 60 capsules. Our own brand blend, 60 capsules per pack, in capsule form. Its ingredient list is not reproduced on this page; the label and the certificate for the batch are the references for what it contains. Every Free Muscle batch is assayed by Janoshik Analytical, an independent laboratory, and the certificate for the batch you receive is available by email on request. View Free Muscle PCT, 60 capsules.
At present this is the only PCT blend we stock. Third-party brands are added to this page when they are held in stock, and for those a batch certificate is shown only where the manufacturer supplies one for the batch we hold.
How to compare them
Comparing blends is harder than comparing single compounds because two products with the same name can contain entirely different things. Start with the ingredient list and ask, for each ingredient, what it is and how many milligrams of it a pack contains: strength per capsule multiplied by capsules per pack. Then set that against the price for a cost per milligram of each named ingredient, and ignore proprietary blend totals that do not break out the individual amounts. Finally, check the batch certificate: a certificate for a multi-ingredient product should identify and quantify each listed ingredient, not just report a single purity figure.
Batch testing and certificates of analysis
A certificate of analysis (COA) reports what an independent laboratory found when it tested a sample from a specific batch. For a blend, that means the identity of each named ingredient and the measured amount of each, together with the laboratory name, method, batch number and date. Every Free Muscle batch is tested by Janoshik Analytical, which we neither own nor control. To request a certificate, email us with the batch number printed on your pack.
A generic PDF with no batch number, no date or no named laboratory is not a batch certificate, and a certificate that reports only one ingredient of a multi-ingredient blend tells you very little. For third-party brands we show a certificate only where the manufacturer has supplied one for the batch we hold, and we do not show one otherwise. See our lab testing page for what to look for.
Where to buy PCT blends in the UK: how to check a supplier
Whichever shop you buy PCT blends from, check these five points before you order:
- A batch number and a certificate for that batch. The pack should carry a batch number, and the seller should be able to show a certificate of analysis for that same batch from a named laboratory, with the test date. Every Free Muscle-brand batch is assayed by Janoshik Analytical, and we send the certificate for your batch on request.
- The strength per capsule and the capsule count. With both figures you can work out the total milligrams in the pack and the price per milligram. If a listing does not state one of them, ask the seller before you order.
- Research-use labelling and an age check. A research compound should be sold for laboratory research use only, not for human consumption, to adults aged 18 or over, with no dosing or usage advice. That is how every listing here is sold.
- Prices in pounds sterling and tracked UK dispatch. UK delivery from us is free and tracked on every order, with no minimum spend, and usually arrives 2-3 working days after dispatch; orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are processed the same working day.
- A clear returns policy. Unopened items can be returned to us within 30 days.

Legal status in the UK
No PCT blend is a licensed medicine. The MHRA has not assessed any of these products, and they are not authorised food supplements. Free Muscle supplies them for laboratory research to adults aged 18 or over, not for human consumption. Individual ingredients may carry their own status: SERMs and aromatase inhibitors are prescription-only medicines when supplied as such in the UK.
For sport, the 2026 WADA Prohibited List bans aromatase inhibitors (section S4.1), anti-oestrogenic substances including selective oestrogen receptor modulators (S4.2) and, in men, chorionic gonadotrophin or hCG (S2.2.1), all of them at all times, in and out of competition. A blend containing any of these is prohibited, and a blend containing only botanical extracts may still be contaminated. Anyone subject to anti-doping rules should treat these products as prohibited unless every ingredient has been checked with their governing body. Our SARMs research guide explains why these products are usually discussed alongside SARMs.
Storage and handling
Keep the container tightly sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct light and heat. Keep the batch number with the material and do not transfer capsules into unlabelled containers. Follow good laboratory practice when handling, and keep out of the reach of children and animals.
Delivery and returns
Free Muscle is the trading name of FreeMuscle, a business registered in Andorra, with UK operations and dispatch in Scunthorpe. UK orders travel free with tracking in plain packaging, orders in by 2pm Monday to Friday are processed that working day, and EU orders take 3 to 7 working days. Unopened goods may be sent back within 30 days. Buyers must be 18 or over. See shipping and guarantee.

Frequently asked questions
Are PCT blends legal in the UK?
PCT blends are not licensed medicines and are not authorised food supplements in the UK. They are not controlled drugs. Free Muscle supplies them for laboratory research to adults aged 18 or over, not for consumption. Individual ingredients such as SERMs or aromatase inhibitors are prescription-only medicines when sold as medicines, so the status of a blend depends on what it contains.
What is in a PCT blend?
It depends entirely on the product. There is no single compound called PCT. Blends across the market draw on prescription-class molecules such as SERMs and aromatase inhibitors, on botanical extracts, vitamins and minerals, or on a mix of both. The only reliable statement of what a given pack contains is its label and the certificate of analysis for that batch.
Does a PCT blend raise testosterone?
No published trial has tested any PCT blend as a product, so there is no evidence that one does. In a 2019 analysis of popular testosterone-boosting supplements, the largest share of human studies of their ingredients found no effect and fewer than a third found a rise. A 2026 review of the drugs used as post-cycle therapy found the evidence limited and noted that hormone levels recover without treatment in most men within months. We make no claim; low testosterone is diagnosed by a doctor with blood tests.
Is a PCT blend a SARM?
No. SARMs are single compounds that act on the androgen receptor. A PCT blend is a multi-ingredient product sold under a product name. Some blends contain SERMs, which act on oestrogen receptors, but that is a different class. Both are listed on the WADA Prohibited List under different sections, and neither is a licensed medicine in the UK.
Do you give PCT or cycle advice?
No. We do not provide any guidance on cycles, protocols, timing, dosing or what to take after any compound. Free Muscle products are supplied for laboratory research only. Suppressed hormone production is a medical condition that is diagnosed with blood tests and managed by a clinician, and no product bought online is a substitute for that.
How do I verify a batch of a PCT blend?
Note the batch number printed on your PCT blend and email it to us; for Free Muscle brand products we send back the Janoshik Analytical certificate for that batch. Because a blend has several ingredients, the certificate should identify and quantify every one listed on the label, and its batch number, date and laboratory name should match your pack. A generic PDF that carries no batch number is not a batch certificate.
Are PCT blends detectable in sport drug tests?
If a blend contains an aromatase inhibitor, a SERM or any other anti-oestrogenic substance, those are prohibited at all times under sections S4.1 and S4.2 of the 2026 WADA Prohibited List and are tested for, and hCG is banned in men under section S2.2.1. Even a blend of botanical extracts can be contaminated. Anyone subject to anti-doping rules should treat these products as prohibited unless every ingredient has been cleared.
What side effects have been reported with post-cycle therapy?
No study has looked at side effects of any PCT blend as a product. Reports concern the substances used under that name: in 2021, two young men developed cholestatic liver injury after SARMs followed by post-cycle substances, and in 2018 the EU refused to authorise the SERM enclomiphene, partly because of a risk of venous thromboembolism. Seized products labelled as post-cycle drugs have also been found with missing or undeclared ingredients. Suppressed hormones are a matter for a doctor.
