iMuscle Testolone RAD-140 comes as 60 capsules stated at 10 mg each, giving 600 mg of RAD-140 per pack. RAD-140, or testolone, is a non-steroidal selective androgen receptor modulator with a single published clinical trial. iMuscle manufactures the product; Free Muscle stocks it in the Muscle Market range and ships it from the UK to adults for laboratory research only.
About RAD-140
RAD-140 is a synthetic, non-steroidal selective androgen receptor modulator, commonly called testolone. Like other SARMs it binds the androgen receptor, but it has no steroid ring system and its structure is unrelated to testosterone. Radius Health described its discovery in 2011 as a potent, orally bioavailable SARM and reported its characterisation in several preclinical animal models of anabolic androgen action (Miller et al., 2011).
RAD-140 later entered a Phase 1 oncology trial in women with ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer, published in 2022 (LoRusso et al., 2022). Twenty-two heavily pretreated patients took part. The adverse events recorded most often were raised AST (59%), ALT (45%) and bilirubin (27%), and grade 3 or 4 events occurred in 16 of the 22. Outside clinical research, published case reports link RAD-140 to cholestatic liver injury, including a biopsy-supported case in a 24-year-old man that resolved after exposure stopped (Leung et al., 2022).
The only other structured human data come from anti-doping research: a 2022 Cologne study gave adult male volunteers microgram amounts to chart how RAD-140 is excreted, covered under detection below (Wagener et al., 2022). No published trial has measured muscle, strength or body composition in healthy adults. The research described here relates to the molecule in laboratory and clinical settings and is not a claim about this listing.

This listing
- Compound: RAD-140 (Testolone)
- Brand: iMuscle
- Form: capsules
- Pack size: 60 capsules
- Stated strength: 10 mg per capsule (manufacturer's label claim)
- Stated total per pack: 600 mg
- Intended use: laboratory research only, not for human consumption
- Sold to adults aged 18 and over
The strength is the manufacturer's label claim; only a batch certificate confirms it. To compare brands of RAD-140, use total milligrams per pack, as explained in price per milligram. Of the RAD-140 listings we stock, only this one and the Free Muscle-brand pack state a per-capsule strength; the Yakka Strength and Thoroughbred Labs listings do not.
RAD-140 in the UK: buying, legal status and what to check
UK searches such as "RAD140 for sale UK" and "testolone RAD 140 UK" raise two practical questions: what the law allows, and what evidence a listing should offer.
Legal status
No UK medicines licence exists for RAD-140: the MHRA has never granted it a marketing authorisation, and no regulator elsewhere has licensed it either. Nor is it an authorised food supplement, so selling it for human consumption would be unlawful. It is not a controlled drug. Free Muscle supplies it only as a research compound, to adults aged 18 or over, for laboratory use. WADA prohibits it at all times under section S1 (anabolic agents) of its Prohibited List. Buyers are responsible for the rules that apply to them, including any anti-doping code. Background on the class is in What are SARMs? The 2026 research guide.
Why a label proves little on its own
The case for checking is empirical. A US anti-doping laboratory, working with the US Anti-Doping Agency, bought 44 products sold online as SARMs and analysed them: in 26 the amount of active compound differed substantially from the label, and 17 contained a different unapproved drug altogether, among them ibutamoren, GW501516 and SR9009 (Van Wagoner et al., 2017). It concerned US websites in 2016, not this product.
Questions to ask of any listing, answered for this one
| Question | This iMuscle listing |
|---|---|
| Is a strength printed, with a capsule count? | Yes: 10 mg per capsule, 60 capsules, 600 mg per pack (manufacturer's claim) |
| Who makes it? | iMuscle |
| Who sells it, and from where? | FreeMuscle LTD, a UK company based in Scunthorpe |
| Is there a certificate for the batch sold? | Shown only where iMuscle supplies one for the batch we hold |
| Are the terms research-only? | Yes: laboratory research, adults 18+, no directions for use and no promised outcomes |
| How does it travel? | Free tracked delivery on every UK order, in plain packaging; same-day processing for orders before 2pm Monday to Friday; 3-7 working days to the EU |
| Can it be returned? | Unopened items, within 30 days |
Only the certificate depends on the manufacturer. Personal accounts under "RAD 140 UK reddit" or "best RAD 140 UK" describe experiences, not the contents of a pack; only a batch certificate measures those. More checks are in how to choose a SARMs supplier in the UK.
Reading the certificate of analysis for this product
iMuscle is a third-party brand, so any certificate of analysis (COA) for this product is the manufacturer's, not ours. A COA is shown only where iMuscle supplies one for the batch we hold; a generic document is not a substitute for a batch certificate. Free Muscle-brand compounds are assayed batch by batch at Janoshik Analytical; that programme does not cover iMuscle. A genuine batch certificate names its method, HPLC or LC-MS; check an iMuscle certificate in this order:
- Compound named. It should say RAD-140, or a synonym such as testolone or vosilasarm. A certificate for RAD-150, or for an unnamed "SARM", is not a certificate for this product.
- Identity result. A chromatogram alone shows that something eluted where a RAD-140 reference standard does; a mass spectrum shows a molecule of the right mass, for protonated RAD-140 an ion at m/z 394.1065 (Wagener et al., 2022).
- Purity. A share of chromatogram peak area. It describes how clean the material is; a capsule could meet a high purity figure and still hold far more or far less than 10 mg.
- Content per capsule. The measured figure to set against the 10 mg claim; sixty times it is the real pack total. One assay gives the average of the capsules tested, not the spread between them.
- Lot number, test date and laboratory. The lot must match your pack; the date shows how old the result is.
Purity without a content figure leaves the 10 mg claim, and with it the 600 mg total, unconfirmed. A result with no stated method cannot be weighed. A lot number that is missing, or differs from the one on your pot, means the certificate concerns another production run. In any of those cases, ask us before relying on the batch. See also how to read a COA and our lab tests page.
Capsules compared with other forms
Testolone tablets and RAD-140 "research liquids" are also on the market, and searches such as "RAD 140 tablets" and "RAD 140 liquid UK" reflect that. Whatever the format, the molecule is RAD-140; what varies is how reliably the printed amount reaches each unit, and no one has published a comparison for this compound.
| Form | What the label figure relies on | What its certificate should state | Storage sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Capsule (this product) | Uniform mixing of the powder and a consistent fill in every shell | Milligrams per capsule, to set against 10 mg | Moisture: shells soften and the powder clumps |
| Tablet | Uniform mixing, then pressing with binders and sometimes a coating | Milligrams per tablet | Moisture and breakage |
| Liquid | Complete dissolution, a solution that stays stable, and accurate measuring of every volume drawn | Milligrams per millilitre, on the test date | Chemical change in solution; evaporation concentrates what remains |
Because RAD-140 is a small molecule rather than a peptide, the question that dominates debate over swallowed peptides, whether digestive enzymes break them down, does not arise in the same way (see do oral peptides work). Both human studies gave it by mouth; we know of no published study of RAD-140 by injection.
RAD-140 compared with RAD-150 (TLB-150)
"RAD 140 vs RAD 150", also searched as "TLB 150 vs RAD 140", is the comparison most often made for this compound.
| Feature | RAD-140 (this product) | RAD-150 (TLB-150) |
|---|---|---|
| Relationship | Parent molecule | Benzoate ester of RAD-140, recorded in PubChem as "TLB 150 Benzoate" (CID 68547459) |
| Formula and molecular weight | C20H16ClN5O2, 393.8 | C27H20ClN5O3, 497.9 |
| Where it appears in print | Peer-reviewed journals since 2011 | A patent, US 8,629,167 (compound 87); no journal papers |
| IC50 for androgen receptor binding, patent assay | 2 nM | 130 nM |
| Studies in people | One cancer trial and one anti-doping excretion study | No published study |
| WADA Prohibited List | Listed by name in S1.2 | Absent from the examples; covered by the section's open wording |
The binding figures come from the patent, as deposited in PubChem, not from a journal, and describe the intact molecules in a commercial binding kit. On them the ester bound the receptor about 65 times more weakly than RAD-140. A living system may split an ester back to its parent, so this does not settle what RAD-150 does there, but it argues against the ester being a stronger ligand in its own right. Claims that it lasts longer or acts more strongly are unmeasured, and whether, and how fast, it becomes RAD-140 in the body is unknown.
The heavier formula matters for labels too: roughly a fifth of the ester's mass comes from the added benzoate portion, so a milligram figure for RAD-150 and the 600 mg on this pack do not describe the same quantity of the RAD-140 structure. Legally the two are alike: neither is a licensed medicine or an authorised food, and both are sold here for laboratory research only. WADA names RAD140 in S1.2; RAD-150 is absent, but the section introduces its examples with "including, but not limited to", so absence is no exemption. Brands held are in the RAD-150 (TLB-150) collection; the chemistry is set out in RAD-140 vs RAD-150 (TLB-150).
Detection, sport and testing
RAD-140 is named, as RAD140, under S1.2 (other anabolic agents) of the WADA Prohibited List, banned at all times. Under strict liability an adverse analytical finding stands against the athlete whatever its source, be it a research compound, a mislabelled product or a contaminated supplement.
Its persistence in urine has been measured, though only after very small amounts. At the German Sport University Cologne, six excretion studies, each with five adult male volunteers, used single or five daily amounts of 1, 10 or 50 micrograms, and their urine was analysed by LC-HRMS/MS (Wagener et al., 2022). Unchanged RAD-140 outlasted all six metabolites tracked in every group. After one 50 microgram amount it was found up to 696 hours later, about 29 days; after five daily amounts of 50 micrograms, up to 912 hours, about 38 days, after the last. Part of the aim was to help laboratories judge whether a finding reflects deliberate use or contamination.
Every figure above comes from microgram exposures. How long RAD-140 remains detectable after milligram quantities, such as the 10 mg stated per capsule here, has not been reported that we know of, so for this product: detectable, window not established. The Cologne results set no upper limit, and anyone subject to testing should regard any contact with RAD-140 as a positive-test risk.
Storage, stability and handling
Shelf life for RAD-140 capsules has not been established in any published study we know of. Work to iMuscle's printed expiry or best-before date, where there is one, and to the age of any certificate.
- Keep the original pot. A certificate refers to the lot number printed on it, so capsules moved to another container can no longer be matched to one. Close the lid straight after each opening.
- Cool, dry and dark. A cupboard away from radiators, kettles and bathrooms. Humidity is the chief threat: shells absorb water and turn soft and sticky, and moisture that reaches the powder can hasten chemical breakdown.
- No temperature swings. A cold pot brought into a warm room gathers condensation; let it reach room temperature before opening.
- Records. Note when the seal was first broken, and label anything removed from the pot with compound, lot and date.
- Handling. Gloves for opened capsules or spilled powder, no eating or drinking nearby, storage beyond the reach of children and animals, and disposal through chemical waste routes rather than household bins or drains.
Glossary
- SARM: selective androgen receptor modulator, a label for non-steroidal molecules developed to switch on the androgen receptor in some tissues, chiefly muscle and bone, while sparing others.
- Reference standard: material of known identity and purity, run alongside a sample for comparison.
- HPLC: high-performance liquid chromatography; the sample is pushed through a packed column and each component shows as a peak on the chromatogram, whose areas give the purity figure.
- LC-MS: the same separation followed by a mass spectrometer, which identifies each component by its mass.
- Protonated molecule: a molecule carrying one extra hydrogen ion, the form in which LC-MS registers RAD-140, at m/z 394.
- Assay: the test of how much RAD-140 a capsule holds, as opposed to how clean it is.
- Ester: an acid joined to an alcohol group by a bond that water can break; RAD-150 is RAD-140 joined in this way to benzoic acid.
- Adverse analytical finding: the formal term for a laboratory report of a prohibited substance in an athlete's sample.
- Strict liability: the rule that athletes answer for any prohibited substance in their sample, however it got there.
- Marketing authorisation: a regulator's permission, in the UK from the MHRA, to sell a product as a medicine; RAD-140 has none.

Frequently asked questions
Is RAD-140 legal in the UK?
RAD-140 is not a controlled drug in the UK, but it is not a licensed medicine and not an authorised food supplement, so it cannot be sold for human consumption. Free Muscle sells it to adults as a research compound for laboratory use only. It is prohibited in sport under section S1 of the WADA list, and possession by a tested athlete could carry consequences under their federation's rules.
Is RAD-140 detectable in sports drug tests?
Yes. RAD-140 is a WADA-prohibited anabolic agent and anti-doping laboratories have validated methods for detecting it and its metabolites in urine. In a study using microgram amounts, it remained detectable for weeks; windows after larger amounts have not been established. Anyone subject to testing should treat any contact with a SARM as a positive-test risk.
What strength of RAD-140 should I choose?
We do not advise on strength or quantity, because RAD-140 is sold for laboratory research and not for human use. The figures on this page are the manufacturer's label details, given so you can compare packs on total milligram content and check them against a batch certificate. Any question about how a compound behaves in people belongs to the published literature, not to a product page.
How do I verify the batch of iMuscle RAD-140 I receive?
Compare the batch or lot number printed on the pack with the number on the certificate of analysis. For iMuscle, a COA is shown only where the manufacturer has supplied one for the batch we hold, and you can contact us to ask about the current stock. A certificate without a batch number, or with a number that does not match, does not verify your pack.
What is the difference between RAD-140 and LGD-4033?
Both are non-steroidal SARMs that bind the androgen receptor. LGD-4033 has a placebo-controlled trial in healthy men that measured lean mass and hormone suppression over three weeks. RAD-140 has only a Phase 1 oncology study, in which raised liver enzymes were prominent. Neither is approved as a medicine, and both are prohibited in sport.
What side effects of RAD-140 have been reported in research?
Published human data come from one clinical trial, in 22 women with advanced breast cancer, where the adverse events recorded most often were raised AST, ALT and bilirubin, with vomiting, dehydration and loss of appetite also common. Outside trials, case reports link RAD-140 to cholestatic liver injury. No trial has studied healthy adults. None of this is a claim about this product, which is supplied for laboratory research only.
What is the half-life of RAD-140?
Searches for the RAD-140 half-life turn up many numbers, but only one comes from measured human data: 44.7 hours, reported by the Phase 1 trial published in 2022, in which 22 postmenopausal women with metastatic breast cancer took part. Illness, age and other treatment all influence how a compound is cleared, so the figure cannot be transferred to other people. We report it as a published measurement only.
Is testolone the same as testosterone?
No. Testolone is an informal market name for RAD-140, a non-steroidal SARM. Testosterone is a steroid hormone, and searches such as "testolone e", "testolone c" and "testolone p" echo the names of its esters (enanthate, cypionate and propionate), but RAD-140 is not an ester of testosterone and has no steroid ring system. The names are similar; the molecules are chemically unrelated. RAD-140 is sold here for laboratory research only.
What is testolone (RAD-140) used for in research?
In the published literature RAD-140 appears in two roles. Radius Health described it in 2011 as a potent, orally bioavailable SARM and characterised it in animal models of anabolic androgen action. It was then tested in people as an oral androgen receptor-targeted treatment for ER-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer, in a Phase 1 trial. It has no approved medical use anywhere, and Free Muscle supplies it for laboratory research only.
Do you give RAD-140 dosage, stacking advice or results?
None of these appear on our site. RAD-140 is supplied for laboratory research, not for human consumption, so we give no amounts, schedules or combinations, including the pairing with MK-677 that is often searched, and we make no claims about how effective it is or about before-and-after outcomes. The two compounds act on different receptors, androgen and ghrelin respectively, and we know of no controlled study of them together.
